About Me.
My goal is to build mutual trust and respect, providing a safe space where you can come exactly as you are. I specialize in supporting individuals navigating depression, anxiety, identity issues, relationship conflicts, and life transitions. I love working with people who are open to deep self-exploration.
My approach incorporates CBT, ACT, person-centered, psychoanalytic, structural and feminist modalities. My style is authentic, genuinely curious, and deeply empathetic. I'm a huge advocate for my clients. I’m committed to fostering insight and supporting a positive self-concept.

I'm a licensed professional counselor and received my masters degree from South University in 2023. About 15 years earlier I was an art student. I graduated from SUNY Purchase with a BFA in painting and drawing. In the interim, I explored and often fumbled my way though many different careers, relationships, and iterations of my own self-concept. Growing up, I never questioned alternative outcomes to becoming an artist. That lack of questioning ultimately led to a rude awakening. I didn't become a professional artist. (I still love to paint and will always be creative. Just not in a professional capacity). I think my experience deconstructing beliefs about my own identity and navigating several life transitions after things didn't go as planned has enhanced my ability to support clients to face their own identity issues, transitions, disillusionments, and ambiguities in life.
I have called Savannah home for the past 10 years but I grew up Queens, (shout out to the most diverse borough in NYC!). I'm biracial, and spent a lot of my time observing and analyzing peoples similarities and differences, both out of innate curiosity, and a need to contextualize where and how I fit in. Intersectionality is inherent to my lived experience, which makes it central to my clinical approach as a therapist.

*The fun stuff*
My hobbies include painting, thrifting, tarot, the I-Ching, and astrology, decorating and redecorating my home to fit the current vibe, planting wildflowers, and taking meandering walks looking for neighborhood cats to pet.
What to expect starting out:
15 min intro call
I'll reach out to schedule a free 15 minute intro call to make sure we're a good fit. We'll establish a general sense of your needs, and my ability to meet them. Its also an opportunity for me to answer any questions you may have (billing, availibility, etc.) before the first session.

The initial session
In this session we'll take a more in depth focus on what brings you to therapy, your presenting concerns, a review of your bio/psycho/social history (that's past treatment and diagnostic history, your family of origin, important relationships and life events leading up to the present), and finally your goals, what you hope to gain, change, learn, unlearn, accept, or leave behind through our work together.
Ongoing sessions
Our sessions are individualized and collaborative. I consider you the expert on your needs and experience. This means that you will play an active role in determining the focus and pace of treatment. Together, we’ll look at the origins of outdated patterns and build healthier coping skills and behaviors that align with your authentic self. Our work will be relational and exploratory, aimed at finding the balance between change and acceptance that's right for you.
